Rock City Dogs opened in Bay Shore recently, after what seemed like years in development to serve up craft frankfurters with a rock and roll vibe.
Owner Steve Reno said he serendipitously hatched the idea for a rock and roll themed craft hot dog joint one day while hanging out at home.
He told GreaterBayShore.com that the concept came to him while looking at a coffee table book about the greatest album covers of all time while a TV show in the background featured the best hot dogs in America.
“I thought wouldn’t it be cool if we served hot dogs and played classic rock from the ’70s?” he said. ....
