Yes, youre absolutely right, enormous frustrations for the search crew here. They just havent been able to catch a break with the weather whatsoever. In fact what theyre having to do is work around the weather, when theres a clear patch, maybe an hour two hours, they get in there and do what they can. The wind whips up again, the rain comes back the seas rise up again and they just have to ride it out pretty much so very very frustrating. The helicopters cant fly and the divers cant go in the water. Heavy storms over the java sea have prevented a closer search for air asia flight 8501. At least seven bodies have been recovered out of 162 people on board. Relatives have jammed a Crisis Center in indonesia, desperate for word. Hundreds took part in a candlelight vigil. Allen pizzey begins our coverage in surabaya. Reporter wooden coffins, simply numbered one and two, brought the first bodies back to the airport from where the doomed flight took off. They were identified only as a woman wearing blue jeans and a boy four and a half feet tall. The recovery effort is being hampered by bad weather and is now a race against time. A searchandrescue official said bodies and debris have drifted as much as 30 miles in one day. At the airport Crisis Center officials compile physical details, such as tattoos and birth marks, ....

Now the families of the passengers and the crew can only wait hoping for any hint that their parents, their kids spouses, siblings friends, somehow they are still alive. The arrival of monsoonal rain and its unpredictable eruptions of bad weather holding back divers as well and their investigation of a socalled shadow on the ocean floor.
