MAE: Dead body of Romanian killed in French parking lot to be repatriated next week

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) announced on Friday that, following the steps taken by the Romanian Embassy in Paris, the French judicial authorities have given their consent for the takeover of the dead body of the Romanian citizen who was killed in a parking in lot France for repatriation next week.
According to an MAE release sent to AGERPRES, the Romanian Embassy in Paris has taken steps to identify and notify the family of the deceased person and is in contact with them, agerpres.ro confirms.
Since the notification of the Romanian citizen's death on the territory of the French Republic, the Romanian Embassy in Paris has taken, as a matter of urgency, steps with the local authorities in order to obtain additional information on the circumstances of this incident, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

MAE, in consensus with USA statement regarding cyber attacks of SolarWinds company's Orion platform

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) expresses its consensus with the United States of America in regards to its concern expressed in the published statement regarding the cyber attacks on the SolarWinds company's Orion platform, according to a press release sent by MAE on Thursday, to AGERPRES.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds that Romania has faced similar security challenges, agerpres.ro confirms.
"MAE and the Romanian authorities with responsibilities in the field reaffirm their firm commitment and Romania's involvement in supporting the efforts of combating cyber aggressions and express their interest in cooperating with the USA and other allies and partners, so that solid and firm measures can be undertaken in this sense," the press release highlights.

MAE advisory: Existing danger of wild or vaccine-derived polio virus spread

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informs Romanian citizens that the World Health Organization (WHO) - IHR (International Heath Regulation) Emergency Committee has decided to extend the measure of Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) following the recent assessment of the risk of the spread of wild-type or vaccine-derived poliovirus, agerpres.ro confirms.
Following the risk assessment, which takes into account the travel area, length of stay, activities and vaccination history, the list of countries for which polio vaccination is requested has been updated, as follows: Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Malaysia, Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of Yemen, shows an MAE release sent to AGERPRES.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) informed on Wednesday that the Swiss federal authorities have revised the conditions for entering the territory of this country, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the new measures being enforced as well in the territory of the Principality of Liechtenstein, according to AGERPRES.
According to the information communicated by the Swiss authorities, starting on Monday, at midnight, Romania will be included on the list of states / regions with a high degree of epidemiological risk. Thus, all persons (except children under 12 years of age) who in the last 10 days prior to entering the territory of the Swiss Confederation have been, for more than 24 hours, in the territory of states / regions with a high degree of epidemiological risk, among which Romania, must present the negative result of a PCR molecular test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, made maximum 72 hours before.
