Arsons to about a dozen. That is including the seven this week and at least five others from 2016. The first five this week happened overnight in a driveway. The two this morning were parked on the streeet. Fire officials believe the same person or people are responsible for all of them. They say there are some commonalities among them. Much of which they wont share in order not to compromise the investigation. I spoke with residents nearby in walnut creek. And they say this is part of a trend in increase in crime here in recent years. One man told me that hes lived here since the nineties without incident up until the last year. His car was stolen twice. So now he says hes taking a different approach to prevent Something Like this from happening to himself or his neighbors. Shifted the fit bit up a little, noticed a burn. Briseno says she has worn the fit bit night and day since her husband bought the tracker back in december and has never had issues.
