Transponder, you can disconnect acars from down in that main equipment bay. so that s the one inponderable. people have been smuggled on airplanes before, and malaysian authorities say they have checked out, you know, various ground workers. they kind of cleared them as well. but, who knows. have you thaeheard that theo miles? it s out there. the electronics bay, has significant breakers in there, including the flight data recorder as well and cockpit voice recorder breakers. beneath the cockpit. through a hatch that s actually outside the cockpit door. you have to pull up some carpet to get in it. it is accessible in flight, but not easily. the question is, was there somebody in there during takeoff? that s a question that comes up time and again. from the beginning, tom, you ve always said they shouldn t just be investigating people on the plane, whether the crew or the passengers, they should be investigating everyone who had access to that plane ....

Was nefarious or mechanical, it happened as a result of the transponder and that getting shut off. reporter: what is clear, mh 370 s captain, not his co-pilot, was the last person on the jet to speak to air traffic controllers telling them good night malaysian 370. sources tell cnn the sources said there was nothing unusual about his voice which betrayed no indication he was under stress and no third voice is heard. and just today, more than a month after the flight disappeared, we re learning malaysian air force search aircraft were dispatched soon after the airline reported its plane missing. malaysian sources told cnn, headed for the strait of malaca and the south china sea. officials had initially focused the search on the south china sea. there were indications that the ....

Escape the busy commercial traffic lanes up above 18,000 feet. without a transponder, you would be at risk for a collision avoidance problem because your collision avoidance equipment wouldn t work. you d need the transponder for that. so there are lots of reasons to go down. the issue is, you know, this is suspect information because they have it on radar, and then they don t have it on radar. this is a boeing 777. this is not you know, this is not a jet copter. it doesn t go from 35,000 feet to 5,000 feet in the blink of an eye. so didn t radar pick up the ascent and the descent? something about this isn t right, and i think we need more information. so even if they did dip down to 5,000 feet, they should have seen more than just all at once it s there, and all at once it s not. it doesn t work that way. jeff wise, this doesn t seem to pass the smell test for mary. what do you think? not to mention the fact we re only learning about it now, 34 days into this investigation. yeah ....

There. it s irrelevant. would that change the likelihood of him being at the controls? no. because he was an experienced or a semi experienced. he had 2,000 odd hours on 737. are you surprised? you are going to be shocked, but i do not agree with you for the following reason. you have to look at the facts in the context of the accident sequence, which began at 1:0 when acars reported everything okay. 11919 was the last communication. two minutes later, the transponder is off. and now we start the turn and maybe a descent, maybe a climb. we don t know. but here is the thing. the final communication, if you buy into what we re now being told was the captain talking, in the context of the accident sequence, i think puts the captain right shack in the middle of the intentional deliberate act of flying this airplane. ....

Air defense radar as a big blip. if that big blip doesn t care a squawk, the transponder with a four digit code, that s what it s for, to identify it on a radar screen. if you have a big blip that doesn t have a squawk, that isn t flight planned or part of routine airways traffic this is a big red flag to any sovereign territory that has air defense jets ready to react to anything entering into the sovereign territory. this is always been the question for me. let s talk about also the area that we re talking about here. let s walk over to the map to take a closer look. one of the areas we re talking about is this is when it was cutting across malaysia going to the malacca straits, right? absolutely. this is kind of the region here in the south china sea where it disappeared. and then we know that it actually crossed malaysia and actually did this route. it came to the north and then went northwest. so avoided tailand and then out into the malacca strait. the question has always bee ....
