Hana Kajimura, sustainability lead at Allbirds San Francisco-based Allbirds was launched as a sustainable trainer brand in 2016 by Tim Brown – a former professional New Zealand soccer player with a degree in design – and biotech engineer Joey Zwillinger, focusing on using merino wool from Brown's native New Zealand.
