Airbnb commits to providing free, temporary housing to an additional 20,000 refugees from Afghanistan as well as other countries.
In 2017, Airbnb set a goal to provide temporary housing to 100,000 people in need worldwide. One year ago yesterday, Airbnb.org – an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization – was founded to help achieve that goal, by facilitating temporary stays for people in times of crisis.
Airbnb on August 24 announced that it will provide temporary housing to 20,000 Afghan refugees worldwide.
