Lebese: I don't know if former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns star is still part of TTM - Kerr

Kerr has now revealed that the left-footed player has stopped training with TTM ahead of the team's Nedbank Cup final clash against Chippa United on Saturday.
“As far as I know George is no longer with us due to his work visa,” Kerr told the media.
“We can’t get a clearance for him. So I think George agreed… I don t know because I have not seen him. I think George has gone home.
"I don’t know if he is still part of TTM but I can understand his frustrations. When he came he was way off his best, he was risking serious injuries if we had played him in a competitive match."

Manqoba Mngqithi hails Washington Arubi after Nedbank Cup heroics

Apr 18, 2021 - 07:00 pm
By Staff Reporter
Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi said Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila goalkeeper Washington Arubi is 'one of the best goalkeepers in the country' after the Vhadau Vha Damani goalkeeper produced heroics to send the holders crashing out of the cup on penalties.
Arubi was the only thing standing in the way of Sundowns and a goal throughout the 120 minutes and then when the match did go to penalties, he brilliantly saved Hlompho Kekana's firmly-struck spot-kick towards the top right-hand corner.
And Mngqithi was full of praise for the Zimbabwean shot-stopper and was surprised he had to go down a division to get a team in recent years.

Mpho Maleka: The players dug deep

in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals on Sunday.
TTM were on the backfoot for large swathes of the game but showed a solid rear-guard to deny the Brazilians for the full 120 minutes which sent the game to penalties, where goalkeeper Washington Arubi produced the heroics on the day to send Vhadau Vha Damani through to a historic cup final.
"I must congratulate the players," Maleka told SuperSport TV.
"They dug deep. We worked throughout the week on the game plan. We played against the champions here. Make no mistake. We gave it our all. Happy enough with how the plan went.

Tshakhuma TTM describe fight that led to Rhulani Manzini dismissal

Apr 1, 2021 - 03:29 pm
By Sipho Mlotha
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila have explained in detail why they had to fire striker Rhulani Manzini from the team.
The 33-year-old joined Vhadau Vha Damani in November last year but was shown the door on Thursday for allegedly punching his teammate Alfred Ndengane during a practice session.
The Limpopo side's media liason officer Rufus Matsema says the player has nobody but himself to blame for losing his job.
"It's not us, it's his actions that got him fired," Matsema tells
KickOff.com.
"He fought with Ndengane. It was the simple thing of me pushing you away, you approach me, I push you for the second time to stop you from coming any closer. Only for you to release a punch.

Nedbank Cup Wrap: Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and Cape Town All Stars reach quarter-finals

The Beautiful Birds were able to level matters through Sipho Sibiya after the Vhadau Vha Damani defence was exposed on the stroke of half-time.
Joseph Mhlongo set-up Sibiya, who headed past Washington Arubi to make it 1-1 heading into the half-time break - scoring his second goal of the campaign in the process.
It took just seven minutes for the hosts to restore their lead through Rhulani Manzini, who ended his six-match goal drought.
Mogakolodi Ngele was the provider as the Botswana international's cross was headed home by Manzini to make it 2-1 to Tshakhuma.
The goal did not deter the Beautiful Birds as they launched attacks and they managed to restore parity through Vuyo Mere.

'Akumu was fantastic' - Hunt snubs Nurkovic as Kaizer Chiefs' best player after TTM win

SuperSport TV.
"I think collectively defensively we weren't as good as we could have been. I thought Akumu again was fantastic. Certainly, for me, he was our best player today.
"I don't want to play Daniel [Cardoso] in that position [centre-back], I don't want to play him there. I think he's better suited to playing a little bit higher up the pitch."
The veteran tactician felt that the Glamour Boys' performance was a bit lethargic at times despite his side having dominated the match from start to finish.
"Bit of a leggy performance. A little bit lethargic at times. It's understandable for the programme that we've had. So yeah, the most important thing is trying to get three points," he continued.
