This heat advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. today through 8 p.m. tomorrow. Heat index values could exceed 107 degrees. Our area is already under an extended advisory lasting through Wednesday, with triple digit indices through mid-next week. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur. The majority of the council feel there must be give and take in the negotiation process, and to date Sunrise has shown no willingness to negotiate.
