Alberta Health Services disciplines hundreds of workers who joined wildcat strike Alberta Health Services (AHS) has suspended at least 27 workers for up to five days and issued disciplinary letters to hundreds more for participating in a province-wide wildcat strike last October. Seven-hundred-and-seventy-one workers have filed grievances against the management action, and other workers who also received letters are expected to soon follow suit. The AHS, which is an arm of Alberta’s United Conservative Party (UCP)-led government, has also reported at least 8 nurses to the provincial body which regulates the nursing profession in the province. This could ultimately jeopardize their right to work in Alberta as licensed nurses.

Even after purging mismatched plastic ware, rotating canned goods, and tossing out pots and pans that have seen better days, I still feel like thereâs room for improvement. With our ongoing home improvement projects Iâm realizing itâs the little things that end up becoming bigger things (and bigger messes). Most of the work we want to do Iâd like to learn to do myself, call it a couples project, but after watching several âhow to videosâ on doing your own tile work the husband is not convinced. Our new favorite show is âHomeTownâ on HGTV (catch it on Sundays, they usually show a few episodes before the new one premiers at 9 p.m.). Mostly we like to see them give life to old homes. The premise is a couple who rehabs houses in their hometown for new couples.
