New this morning, police in newport news say a driver died following a car crash. It happened in the Early Morning hours at 41st street and jefferson avenue. Police say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt when he crashed into a utility pole. Paramedics took the man to the hopsital where he was pronounced dead.
