KCII will be providing a soundtrack to your holiday grocery shopping tomorrow as part of the 18th annual Caring Christmas Food Drive. The Big Red Radio will be broadcasting live from noon-2 p.m. sponsored by Community 1st Credit Union and from 2-5 p.m. at the Washington Hy-Vee. During the broadcast the public can drop off monetary and food donations and get entered into the $1,000 Christmas Cash Giveaway. You can also give a hands-free donation by using your smartphone to scan one of KCII’s QR code table toppers at Hy-Vee and other participating businesses. Donations made at participating sponsors will then go to their community’s local food pantry. Hy-Vee also offers pre-bagged donation options for purchase.
As Santa Claus has many stops to make this holiday season, so does the KCII Big Red Radio for the 18th annual Caring Christmas Food Drive. KCII will be broadcasting live from 2-4 p.m. Monday at Freeman Foods in Wellman, where people can drop off monetary and food donations to go to that community’s food pantry. The public can also donate hands free by scanning the QR code table topper at the food drive’s participating businesses, or by clicking the “Big Red Button” at kciiradio.com. Those who donate to the drive will automatically be entered into the $1,000 Caring Christmas Giveaway, which will draw a winner in mid-January.
