The Pentagon has denied a request from American Veterans (AMVETS) to use Defense Department parking lots for its “Rolling to Remember” motorcycle rally later this month, the veterans group said in a statement Monday, slamming Pentagon officials for allegedly refusing to engage in a dialogue about how to hold the event safely in the era of coronavirus. ....

Biden's Pentagon Dumps on 32 Year Tradition, Denying Veterans Group a Permit for Memorial Day Event


Sounds like the Department of Defense just took another step further into woke-ville.
The American Veterans (AMVETS) organization has been meeting at the Pentagon as a rallying point/parking area for their Rolling to Remember event on Memorial Day for the past 32 years, according to 7News.
But now, the Pentagon has released the following statement, denying them a permit, claiming it was due to virus restrictions.
Unfortunately, the department has disapproved AMVETS permit request. The department took into careful consideration all aspects of AMVETS request, to include the current Health Protection Condition status on the Pentagon Reservation; substantial community transmission of COVID-19 in Arlington County, Virginia; number of Americans fully vaccinated across the nation; nature of this event with its decreased ability to maintain physical distance; and large crowds in one location for an extended period of time. This event draws national attention and participation ....

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) A former U.S. Marine and Baltimore police officer who raised nearly $1.2 million to bring hundreds of military veterans to a Dakota Access Pipeline protest camp in North Dakota more than four years ago is suing for alleged civil rights violations.
Michael Wood Jr.’s lawsuit targets the city of Bismarck, its police department, the Hertz vehicle rental company and Bismarck franchisee Overland West Inc.
The saga began in December 2016 when a Suburban that Wood had rented in Bismarck became snowbound in a blizzard that hit the protest camp. It culminated with Wood and his wife being detained at the U.S. border in California when returning from a Mexican vacation in August 2019. ....
