Financial institutions welcome plans to regulate firms for anti-money laundering (AML) efficacy but say more input is needed from governmental officials to ensure that their compliance efforts are effective, according to a new global survey of financial crime experts commissioned by ACAMS. The survey, which was launched in partnership with YouGov, found that four out of five of the more than 340 respondents believed that the periodic issuance of AML priorities by a national governmental body would be helpful in shaping an institution s compliance program. ....

As you might know, Garrison indicted Clay Shaw for perjury after his acquittal on conspiracy charges. He claimed Shaw lied when he denied knowing David Ferrie and Lee Harvey Oswald. Garrison told his staff to go out and find new leads to help prove his perjury case.

Social media users have been sharing an image online that lists 18 different claims about world governments resigning and ends with: “None of this has been reported on mainstream media. Why?” This list includes a mixture of true and false information.

The claims have a strong conspiracy theory implication, with one post’s description reading: “In case you’ve been wondering if something is going on in the world - it is!!!”
Some iterations of the list include a screenshot of additional text from a post which reads: “If EVER someone tells you, things aren’t happening. Show them this. It’s easier to see things are happening when we take a quick glance at the past. Why would governments all around the world be resigning?” ....
