A NEW on-demand food delivery company has launched in Hereford, offering delivery services to those miles from the city.
And there is an ever-expanding range of tasty treats on offer via Zoom 1Hr Delivery for foodie fans living up to eight miles from Hereford, who have until now been unable to order deliveries from many of their favourtie restaurants, as more city restaurants and cafes are continuing to sign up to the service.

New app offers takeaway deliveries within eight miles of Hereford


A NEW on-demand food delivery company has launched in Hereford, offering delivery services to those miles from the city.
Shropshire-based company Zoom 1hr Delivery have continued their expansion across Wales and bordering English counties with the official launch of their sub-one hour delivery service in Hereford on January 27.
Zoom 1hr has partnered with food outlets including Co-op, McDonald’s, along with independent businesses such as Legges and No.9 The Balcony, to be delivered within an 8-mile radius.
To celebrate the service’s launch in the area, Zoom 1hr Delivery are running a number of promotions and competitions for customers to enter through their social media pages in the coming weeks. ....

Anglers Arms
This pub used to sit on the corner of Albert Road and Leopold Road in Newtown.
Reading Museum s website explains it was closed in 1975 and demolished as part of the development of the area.

The Brewers Arms was on Bridge Street close to the corner with Castle Street.
The picture was taken around 1920.
Oxford Arms
The Oxford Arms was at the bottom of Silver Street.
The pub was demolished in 1959.

Campbell is also a convert to no-dig methods. He simply mulches the soil surface once a year, usually in winter or the start of spring, with compost.
“By top dressing, there’s always things pulling down the nutrients in the good-quality layer you put on. Worms come up, they eat it, they go down. There’s not really a need to dig it in. You shouldn’t think about feeding the plant, it’s the soil you need to look after first.”
Home-made compost is a vital part of this process and Campbell aims for a 50:50 ratio of carbon to nitrogen. The carbon is made up of mostly brown things: fallen leaves, cardboard and wood chips. Green produce, like uncooked veg trimmings, make up the nitrogen, along with kitchen leftovers. ....
