Biden Reverses Trump on Obamacare Rule, Expands Sex to Include Gender Identity, Sexual Orientation

(CNS News) The Biden administration announced on Monday that it is reinterpreting a rule in the Affordable Care Act to include gender identity and sexual orientation as categories protected from discrimination in health care. During the Trump administration, this anti-discrimination rule applied to the category sex, as understood biologically at birth, male or female.
With the new interpretation in force by the Health and Human Services Office of Civil Rights, doctors and medical personnel could be compelled to violate their conscience or religious beliefs.  ....

AL Gov. Signs Law Prohibiting Transgender 'Females' (Biological Males) From Joining Girls' Sports

(CNS News) Alabama Governor Kay Ivey (R) signed legislation into law on Apr. 23 that prohibits transgender females (biological males) from joining real girls sports teams, which will protect biological female Athletes to compete on a fair playing field for scholarships and other athletic accomplishments, reads the new law.
The legislation, HB 391, was initially passed by the Alabama House (74-19) in March and then the Alabama Senate (25-5) on April 16.

State Rep. Scott Stadthagen (R-Hartselle), who introduced the bill, said in February, “Basically, this bill whatever your birth certificate says, if it says you are male or you are female, that is the sport you will play in K-12 athletics. ....
