An academic-industry partnership involving Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and University College London has been established to investigate the role of the brain protein neurofilament light (NfL) chain in neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
Clinical scientists at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and University College London are collaborating with pharmaceutical companies AbbVie, Biogen, Bristol Myers Squibb and Roche to investigate the role of neurofilament light (NfL) chain in neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease. ....

Washington, D.C. (PPD) The Democratic legislation allegedly aimed at providing “relief” from the coronavirus (COVID-19) is not designed to safely reopen schools anytime soon. The bill, which is expected to rely on reconciliation for passage by simple majority, is more a payback for teachers unions.
The White House and Congressional Democrats have touted the House Committee on Education and Labor appropriating $128.6 billion for the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund “to support schools in safely reopening.” ....

MILLIONS more people are waking up to harsher coronavirus restrictions as new tier changes come into force in England today.
