Joe Biden Proposes Crippling Taxes, Strangling Regulations, and Completely Unsecure Elections in Prime-Time Speech

Joe Biden delivers a speech to a Joint Session of Congress, April 28, 2021.
As a friend said during a lunch date Wednesday, “Why is anyone surprised that Biden is doing exactly what we all told them he would do if he won the election?” The only thing somewhat surprising is the speed at which he’s enacting his (or Jill’s, or Kamala’s) totalitarian agenda.
Since many of the individual pieces of the Democrat party’s wet dream wish list of brutal legislation can’t pass on their own (specifically, PRO Act). Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and centrists in swing districts extremely powerful. Its status in the Senate, should it get there, is also on extremely shaky ground thanks to “moderates” like Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen ....

The High Court in Pretoria has interdicted the government from processing applications and making any payments from its R1.2bn Tourism Equity Fund, established to bail out companies in distress in the sector.
In a two-part application heard in the court on April 15, lobby groups Solidarity and AfriForum applied for an urgent interdict saying they are critical of the fact that help is only being given to black entrepreneurs when all businesses have suffered during the pandemic. Hundreds of companies have closed.

Democrats Are Terrified of Georgia

Georgia’s voting reform success has the liberal coalition on high alert. Why? Because the left fears common sense voting reforms will stand in the way of their dream a federal takeover of state and local elections.
By now we are used to the unholy alliance between liberal activists, the media, and Democratic lawmakers. But the Democrats have recruited a new member to join in their assault on GOP voting bills: corporate CEOs.
What motivated big businesses to join the fray this time? It’s simple. They see it as an opportunity for woke virtue signaling. It’s easy to speak out against so-called “racist” voting laws if it boosts their bottom line.  ....
