U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas considered ways that Congress could regulate Twitter and other digital platforms in a concurrence Monday to the high court’s decision to vacate a decision involving former President Donald Trump.
Thomas concurred when the Supreme Court vacated an appeals court decision holding that Trump violated the First Amendment when he blocked his critics on Twitter. The Supreme Court said it was instructing the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals at New York to dismiss the case as moot. ....

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas went rogue on the Bluebook when he embraced an appellate lawyer’s suggestion for dealing with “citation baggage” that comes with some quoted material.
Jack Metzler, an appellate lawyer with the Federal Trade Commission, outlined the problem in an article at SSRN in March 2017. When court decisions and briefs quote from an earlier source, and the earlier source sometimes quotes an even earlier source, the Bluebook rules make for a lot of “citation baggage” that distracts from the point. ....

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) is backing American workers employed at Amazon’s Bessemer, Alabama, warehouse who are currently voting on whether they want to unionize against the wishes of the multinational corporation’s billionaire executives.
Last month, the roughly 5,800 Americans employed at the Bessemer Amazon warehouse were sent ballots so they could vote on unionization. If the majority of workers vote in support of unionization, they will be the first Amazon union in the United States and will join the Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union (RWDSU).
As Breitbart News has reported, Amazon executives have fought the unionization vote at nearly every turn. In January, they filed an appeal opposing mail-in voting for the unionization vote in an effort to slow the process. ....
