The Minot Chamber Chorale will present “We Will Shine,” a virtual choral cantata, on Sunday, May 2, at 3 p.m. It will be shared at: https://www.facebook.com/minotchamberchorale. “We Will Shine” is a short 10-minute cantata written specifically for the Minot Chamber Chorale “to memorialize a year of pandemic which has rendered us unable to sing together and in-person.” Detroit-based tenor, Edward Graves, is featured in the cantata. The music was written by Emerson Eads, artistic director of the Minot Chamber Chorale, for the combined forces of the Minot Chamber Chorale, the Minot State University Concert Choir, and the Western Plains Youth Ensemble. Eads, an assistant professor of music at Minot State University, also is director of the Western Plains Youth Ensemble.
