Global Ophthalmic Lasers Market to Reach $1.2 Billion by 2026

Global Ophthalmic Lasers Market to Reach $1.2 Billion by 2026
Lasers hold tremendous value to ophthalmologists given the power of the light beam to reshape cornea for enhancing its focus, creating a channel for easing intraocular pressure and cauterization of tiny hemorrhages. One of the major applications of lasers in the area has been the correction of nearsightedness, which has become a routine elective procedure in this area. Laser Blended Vision technique is another technique gaining growth for treatment of presbyopia. Application of lasers is also growing beyond vision correction, with significant research work paving its application in cataract surgeries and diagnostic retinal imaging among others. Use of ophthalmic lasers not only results in increased accuracy and efficacy of operations performed, but also enables treatment of patients on outpatient basis, thus avoiding both hospitalization as well as extended recovery time.

Galaxy S21 versus Pixel 5 camera comparison: this is embarrassing

publishUpdated   Feb 16th, 2021, 2:52 pm
For years, Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones were considered the best Android devices to own if you wanted to take the best pictures possible. That all came crashing down when Google stepped in with its Pixel smartphones. On paper, Samsung still had the upper hand since its devices used better sensors, but Google’s computational photography approach allowed the software to do most of the work, allowing its phones to deliver better images.
In 2021, Samsung decided to take a step back with the Galaxy S21 and keep mostly the same camera hardware that was featured on the Galaxy S20 from the previous year and refine its performance through software. The approach shows that Samsung’s camera engineers are getting better at fine-tuning the hardware to deliver better images through improved software. That being said, our side-by-side Samsung Galaxy S21 versus Pixel 5  camera comparison shows Samsung is still a few steps behind where it needs to be if it truly wants to compete with Google.

Samsung Galaxy S21 vs Pixel 5: Battle of the budget phones

For the next few months, there are gonna be a lot of questions about whether you should opt for Samsung's spin on Android, or if you should go with Stock Android. That's comparison is going to be even further magnified with the Samsung Galaxy S21, which is launching with One UI 3.1, based on Android 11. Meanwhile, of course, the Pixel 5 is Google's flagship device until the Fall of 2021, which launched with Android 11 back in October. There are some similarities between these two devices, as the Galaxy S21 measures in at 6.2-inches, slightly edging out the 6-inch display of the Pixel 5. Both of these feature 8GB of RAM and have a base storage of 128GB, along with display resolutions of 2400 x 1080. The differences begin to shift from there, as the S21 may have lower pixel density but has the added benefit of Samsung's 120Hz dynamic refresh rate. On the other hand, Google's Pixel 5 features a 90Hz refresh rate, which should be fine for most people, but it's not the best available. Pixel 5 & Pixel 4a 5G review: not your usual upgrade Speaking of best available, that's where the processor comes into play, as the Galaxy S21 is powered by the Snapdragon 888. This provides faster speeds and is more power-efficient compared to the Snapdragon 765G found in Pixel 5. The Galaxy S21 gets another nod thanks to the triple-camera array, although we'll have to wait to see how it stacks up to Google, which has had vastly superior image processing compared to other handsets for the last couple of years. If you're concerned about the price, you'll want to go ahead and grab the Pixel 5, as it's priced at just $699, $100 cheaper than the S21. Something to consider, however, is that Samsung is offering some pretty great trade-in deals for those who want to pick up the Galaxy S21 so you can knock a little bit off of the retail price of $799. Nevertheless, these are two worthy competitors for those who want a smaller Android smartphone and don't necessarily need all of the latest and greatest features packed into a phone. Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus vs OnePlus 8 Pro: Which one is for you?

Now that the Galaxy S21 lineup has officially been unveiled, it's time to start determining how these devices stack up against the competition. One of the most popular phones of 2020, the OnePlus 8 Pro, continues to be a fan-favorite even after the release of the OnePlus 8T. However, should you upgrade to one of Samsung's latest devices? At first glance, it may seem like there are some similarities, but the truth is that the 8 Pro still has a lot going for it compared to the S21+. Both devices measure around 6.7-inches, but the 8 Pro gets a leg up with its QHD+ resolution. On the bright side, Samsung brings its 120Hz Adaptive Refresh Rate to the S21+, while the 8 Pro also features a 120Hz refresh rate. The biggest difference between these two comes down to the processor, thanks to Samsung including the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset. The 8 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 865, which is still more than capable of handling anything you may need to throw at it. OnePlus pulls ahead a little bit further thanks to the quad-camera array, including a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP telephoto lens, 48MP ultrawide, and 5MP color filter. The S21+ features just a triple camera setup, although Samsung is well-known for providing a better camera experience overall. If you were hoping for a boundary-pushing handset with the S21+, you'll be a bit disappointed. Samsung has included all of the latest and greatest features for the S21 Ultra, which is $200 more expensive. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 8 Pro is the best handset the company is currently offering. Both of these devices are great, but you don't necessarily need to upgrade to the S21+ if you already own the 8 Pro. But if you are looking at both of these as upgrade options, we would still recommend the 8 Pro over the S21+.
