U.S. Rep. Warren Davidson is âconfidentâ the people who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 âwill be held accountable,â and defended in his virtual townhall Thursday night his opposition to certifying the electoral votes of two states, the Journal-News reports.
Davidson, a Troy Republican who represents Ohioâs 8th District, said he hopes the country can âmove forward togetherâ because there are âa lot of good things going on for our country. This is still the land of opportunity. People from all over the world want to be part of it.â ....

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Thirty-nine school districts in Mississippi received federal money to help low-income students raise achievement.
Congressman Bennie Thompson made the announcement Thursday about the Preliminary Title 1 Allocations. The funds are given to school districts with 40 percent low-income families.
In our area, the Jackson Public School District will get more than $16.5 million. Canton Schools, more than $2.2 million. Clinton over $725,000. Hinds County more than $1.5 million. And Vicksburg over $3.6 million. ....
