Singaporean faces prosecution for getting extra Covid-19 shots to visit Hong Kong bars

Hong Kong authorities have warned they will consider prosecuting a man who received two Covid-19 jabs locally despite being fully vaccinated elsewhere, condemning his “extremely selfish and irresponsible” behaviour.
The move followed media reports of the 30-year-old receiving the BioNTech vaccine despite having taken two Moderna shots in Singapore. The man, who works in Hong Kong, reportedly wanted to obtain a local electronic vaccination record to visit bars.
In a statement on Monday evening, the government said his actions not only posed risks to his own health, but also implicated the medical staff who inoculated him and wasted the city’s vaccine resources. ....

Hong Kong police sealed off the city’s Victoria Park on Thursday citing alleged calls online for unauthorized assemblies in the recreation area, Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) reported.
The timing of the park’s closure on July 1 coincided with the anniversary of Hong Kong’s handover to China from British colonial rule in 1997, as well as the centenary of the Chinese Communist Party. Hongkongers have traditionally staged a “handover” march starting at Victoria Park on the date, but the Hong Kong police prohibited the demonstration this July for the second straight year citing large gathering bans during the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. ....

Two men arrested over police-themed 'gay sex video'

Two men were arrested in Hong Kong on Monday (10 May) in connection to a nine-year-old video of three men having sex in police uniforms.
The two suspects, identified as 40-year-old Ng and 45-year-old Chow, were detained in their apartment complex in Yuen Long, a town in the New Territories.
Ng and Chow have been detained for police questioning,
The Standard, an English-language Hong Kong newspaper, reported.
As police raided their home, they seized a walkie-talkie, a pair of handcuffs, an extendable baton, a BB gun, a fake police warrant card and alleged police officer uniforms. ....
