Southerleigh head brewer Les Locke enjoys a malt beverage.
Les Locke, head brewer for the Southerleigh dining and brewing chain, is leaving San Antonio for upstate New York, MySA reports.
The relocation comes after Locke s girlfriend, Briana Hinojosa, landed a job with SingleCut Beersmith near Cooperstown, New York, according to the site. Hinojosa, who has a biochemistry degree, currently works as a lab tech for Alamo Beer Co.
Locke, a founder and board member of San Antonio Beer Week, told MySA he ll look for a job in upstate New York s brewing industry. ....

A printout of work done by the Saratoga Springs Mavis auto repair shop on the stretch Ford Excursion limo that was involved in the Schoharie limo crash in 2018. The document, obtained by the NTSB, appears to show that the limo failed a DMV inspection on the same day that Mavis affixed a passing inspection sticker on the 34-foot, 18 passenger limo, which was only supposed to be inspected by the state DOT under state transportation rules. MENANDS Bill Lambdin, a former WNYT reporter who was a presence on Capital Region television for decades, died Saturday morning at the age of 69. The cause of death was cardiac arrest, said his sister, Beth Lambdin.
Lambdin, who grew up in Broadalbin and graduated from the old Broadalbin High School, began his television journalism career in 1973. He stepped away from WNYT more than 40 years later, in 2014. Lambdin was said to have covered more stories for the station than any reporter in its history. ....

Earlier this week, MLB Pipeline’s Jim Callis and Jonathan Mayo rolled out their list of the Top 100 prospects for the 2021 Draft, offering fans a comprehensive look at the best amateur players in the country. Beyond those rankings, they also applied their expertise in putting together a mock draft for the Top 10 slots in 2021 and answered fans’ questions during a recent Twitter Q&A.
As part of MLB Pipeline’s ongoing Draft coverage, we thought that it would be interesting to explore past successes in the annual event by highlighting the best pick in each team’s history.
But please note that the purpose of this list is not to identify which players performed the best for the organization that drafted them. Rather, for this exercise, we have identified every team’s best Draft pick based on (Baseball Reference’s) Wins Above Replacement though, in some cases, exceptions were made (and noted) by the MLB Pipeline team. ....
