Cavs May Have Trouble Keeping Sexton, Allen This Summer

The Cleveland Cavaliers need to make some moves this summer, which includes possibly giving up some players.
Most have been keeping an eye on Kevin Love, but this does not mean that young players like Collin Sexton are safe.
When he joined the Cavaliers in 2018, most saw the 6-foot-1 guard out of Alabama as the player who would lead the team to a different route.
Sadly, that has not proven effective thus far as the Cavs continue to search for a new identity since the LeBron James era.

JOE TAIT, the longtime radio play-by-play voice of CLEVELAND CAVALIERS basketball, died WEDNESDAY (3/10) after battling kidney disease and liver cancer. He was 83.
TAIT, whose career started at WRAM-A/MONMOUTH, IL while attending MONMOUTH COLLEGE, called OHIO UNIVERSITY and INDIANA UNIVERSITY sports and hosted at WBOW-A/TERRE HAUTE before getting the job calling CAVS games on WERE-A/CLEVELAND in the team's debut NBA season, 1970-71. TAIT remained with the CAVS (later on WWWE/WTAM-A) through his 2011 retirement, with the exception of two years when he called NEW JERSEY NETS (1981-82) and CHICAGO BULLS (1982-83) games. In addition, he did play-by-play for CLEVELAND INDIANS baseball on radio and TV for 16 seasons (1973-79 on television, 1980-87 on radio) and also called games for the WNBA's CLEVELAND ROCKERS (1997-2004). He was honored with the NAISMITH BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME's CURT GOWDY Media Award in 2010.

The NBA and the Cleveland Cavaliers have unveiled the official logos for the 2022 NBA All-Star Game. The event and its associated festivities will be held at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in downtown Cleveland on Feb. 20 next year.
The game will be significant as the NBA will be celebrating its 75th year. And unlike last night's Covid-affected All-Star event in Atlanta, the All-Star game will next year likely revert to its multi-day extravaganza format, with thousands of expected visitors and hours of national media exposure. That's why it was touted so aggressively as a selling point for public subsidies during the Q Deal debate.

Dan Gilbert is now the planet's 16th-richest human being after his net worth soared by $25 billion Tuesday, fueled by speculative day-trading on the stock market.
Bloomberg reported that his single-day increase in wealth represented the biggest daily jump up in the history of their list of wealthiest billionaires alive.
Gilbert owns more than 70% of the Rocket family of companies, under which Quicken Loans, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Bedrock Real Estate are all housed, and which went public earlier this year, sending Gilbert's personal fortune into the stratosphere.

Sexton, Garland help Cavaliers upset 76ers 112-109 in OT

Collin Sexton flashed three fingers on each hand as he walked off the court a winner and simply said “that's game.” “You're going to see these type of moments again,” Okoro said. Sexton scored 28 points, Garland had 25 and the feisty Cavaliers beat the East-best Philadelphia 76ers 112-109 in overtime on Saturday night.
