Christians United for Israel (CUFI) released the results of its latest survey this week on American attitudes on Israel, showing that support for Israel and issues important to the survival of the Jewish state still hold bipartisan support.
Robert Jones, a partner with the Idaho-based GS Strategy Group, which joined with CUFI to conduct the survey, spoke about the results during a Monday phone call with reporters.
Sixty-one percent of Americans think the United States should suspend aid to the Palestinian Authority until it stops incentivizing terror attacks in Israel through what’s been called the “pay for slay” annuity program. Democrats favor suspending it by 27 percent, and more than half of all liberals Democrats approve the suspension; 54 per ....

As the Biden administration seeks to re-enter the failed 2015 Iran nuclear deal, a new survey from the nation’s largest pro-Israel group gives cause for pause.
In a survey of 800 people conducted between April 26 and April 29 by GS Strategy Group, 40% of respondents self-identified as Democrats, 34% as Republicans, and 20% as independents. Out of that dataset, 65% of respondents said that the Trump administration’s maximum pressure campaign, which has deprived Iran of funding to support terrorism and other malign activities, should remain in place. Democrats support that stance by a 31-point margin, while Republicans do so by 66 points and independents by 43 points. ....

Idaho lawmakers OK education budget, 'send a message' about teaching social justice

Idaho lawmakers OK education budget, send a message about teaching social justice
Hayat Norimine, The Idaho Statesman
May 4 Idaho lawmakers found a solution to getting education budgets over the finish line: Cut $2.1 million from university budgets.
A new measure, House Bill 387, was negotiated among Republican lawmakers as they tried to quell fears from a faction of legislators over universities teaching about critical race theory and providing other social justice programs. The cut, along with a bill against critical race theory, helped garner enough votes in the House to approve education budgets.
Senators in a 25-8 vote on Tuesday supported the bill, which previously passed the House and will now need Gov. Brad Little s signature. The legislation would provide nearly $629.9 million for colleges and universities for the next fiscal year, which begins July 1. It would cut $500,000 each from the University of Idaho and Idaho State University and ....
