Disney Channel has announced that the animated special “Descendants: The Royal Wedding” will premiere on the network this summer.
Based on the “Descendants” franchise, the special will bring viewers back to the United States of Auradon and feature Mal and King Ben’s royal wedding. Twitter is again on board as the livestreaming partner for the Golden Globes preshow this year, ahead of the awards telecast on NBC.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and Dick Clark Prods. announced their partnership with Twitter for the official preshow, “HFPA Presents: Globes Countdown Live.” It will be available on the Golden Globes account on Twitter (@goldenglobes) on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, from 3:30-5 p.m. PT in the U.S., and also will stream live on goldenglobes.com.

On this day, the birthday of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., let’s remember the influence of immigration restriction on the effectiveness of the movement that he epitomizes.
At the 1963 March on Washington that included King’s iconic “I have a dream” speech, the lead organizer and head of the event was A. Philip Randolph, one of the greatest civil rights leaders of the 20th century. The president of the Sleeping Car Porters union had a long history of advocating for immigration restrictions as part of his five decades of advancing Black economic interests. ....
