Harahan Music Festival + Food Drive set for May 15
Stranded South Music and Media, with enthusiastic help from the city of Harahan, will be hosting the first Harahan Music Festival + Food Drive on Saturday, May 15, from 2-10 p.m.
Live music and entertainment will begin at Zeringue Park, located at 501 Oak Avenue, featuring the Andre Lovett Band from 2-3:15 p.m. followed by Bon Bon Vivant from 3:30-5 p.m. Attendees can then catch the Felipe K-Rrera Jazz Quartet at Bienvenue, 467 Hickory Avenue, from 5-8p, and Jamie Bernstein & the Yakameiniacs at My Brother’s Bar, 6901 Jefferson Highway, from  8-10 p.m. ....

Juster’s death was confirmed Tuesday by a spokesperson for Random House Children’s Books, who did not immediately provide details. Juster’s friend and fellow author Mo Willems tweeted Tuesday that Juster “ran out of stories” and died “peacefully” the night before. ....
