On February 16, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen signed a sub-decree to set up a National Internet Gateway (NIG).
The Cambodian government initially proposed the NIG in July 2020 with the stated goal of controlling and monitoring online traffic. The system will route all international internet traffic through a single entry point.
According to the 11-page decree released on February 17, the NIG is intended to “facilitate and manage domestic and international internet connections, to enhance national revenue collection effectively, to protect national security, and to maintain social order ....

An advert to create awareness about the use of contraceptives is making rounds in the media urging young people to be responsible enough and consult reproductive health centres.
While this is a fancy goal of avoiding teenage and unwanted pregnancies, there are lurking dangers worth avoiding through abstinence and other conventional means.
These include: the coronavirus that is reportedly mutating into tougher strains, drug-resistant TB, drug-resistant sexually transmitted diseases and socio-economic distress, among others. First, one picture/video is worth a thousand words.
The contraceptives advert can dupe the young people to engage in premarital sex, thus exposing them to HIV and the Covid-19 ....
