Biden’s proposed $1.5 trillion 2022 discretionary spending budget includes $2.1 billion for the CISA, an increase of about 5.6% over its budget allocated by Congress for the last year. The CISA’s budget previously got a temporary boost of $650 million in the American Rescue Plan Act passed in March. ....

President Joe Biden is asking Congress to boost the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency budget by $110 million in 2021 to allow the agency to address a range of cybersecurity issues, following several high-profile incidents that have happened in the past six months. The increase is part of Biden s $1.52 trillion spending proposal for next year.
The funding request for CISA in fiscal 2022 amounts to $2.1 billion, which is $110 million more than the sum allocated in the previous fiscal. This would also build on the $650 million provided to CISA under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2020, or the COVID-19 stimulus package, which sought to better protect federal and civilian agency networks during the pandemic. ....
