NEET-PG 2021 Latest News: The government has decided to utilise medical students as adequate human resources for responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a high level Covid-19 review meeting today decided to allow deployment of medical interns in Covid management duties under the supervision of their faculty,  as part of the internship rotation. 
The services of final year MBBS students can be utilised for providing services like tele-consultation and monitoring of mild Covid cases after due orientation by and under supervision of faculty, the government release mentioned. The following service of the MBBS students will  reduce the workload on existing doctors engaged in Covid duty, it added.  ....

The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be conducted only once this year, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank informed the Lok Sabha on Monday.
In a written reply to the lower house, Nishank said the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the Ministry of Education conducts NEET for the undergraduate programmes in medical sciences, in consultation with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
In 2021, NEET (UG) will be conducted by NTA only one time. NTA has informed that they have not received any memorandum in this regard, Nishank said. ....

NEET 2021: Exam not to be conducted twice a year, dates to be announced this week
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) will not be conducted twice a year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) told
India TV Digital on Wednesday. Aspirants had their hopes high for a second chance as the testing agency was in consultation with the Education Ministry and other stakeholders to explore the feasibility of conducting the exams twice. Recently, the testing agency had also reached out to the Union Health Ministry asking if the entrance test could be held twice a year, stating that the move would lessen stress and pressure on students. However, the NTA has decided against it. ....

According to Union Human Resource Development minister Prakash Javadekar, the vernacular question papers for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) from 2018 will be only basic translation of the question paper in English. The announcement will affrect the future of lakhs of candidates who are all set to appear in the joint entrance examinations in medicine and engineering in 2018 all over the country. ....

NEET 2020 Cut off for admissions to BDS courses to be reduced by 10 percentile: Supreme Court

NEET cut off for BDS admissions for the academic year 2020-21 has been reduced by 10 percentile points. As per the order, the cut off for BDS admissions has been revised to 40 for General and 30 for SC/ST/OBC.
