New Delhi, May 9 (IANS) An enquiry was initiated on Sunday against a Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for allegedly misbehaving with a lady doctor of the force deputed in Bihar s Muzaffarpur.

Determined in stopping bandits from infiltrating Abuja, security forces have commenced massive deployment of personnel and equipment to all entry and exit points of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Investigation by Sunday Sun revealed that security operatives have also commenced raid on major spots in Kogi, Niger and Nasarawa states just as they have commenced demolition and raids on all known criminal hideouts within and around the FCT.
The security agencies made up of a joint task force are also said to be raiding major motor parks, uncompleted buildings, markets, mechanic workshops and villages, where criminals and bandits are believed to be hiding. ....

Ex-Khassadar, levies force personnel seek release of salaries

WANA: The ex-personnel of Khassadar and levies force, who have been now integrated into regular police of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have appealed to Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and police high-ups to order the relevant quarters to release their pending salaries.
The cops, who wished not to be named, said that their families were faced with starvation and going through a very difficult times due to non-payment of their salaries.
It was learnt that a khassadar-cum-policeman from South Waziristan district on Tuesday allegedly attempted to commit suicide in the Account Office in Tank to protest the non-payment of salaries for the last seven months. ....

As brands begin gearing up for summer, with chains like McDonald s in Alabama reporting they plan to hire 3,000 just in and around Birmingham during a hiring event next week, KFC said today it will bring on some 20,000
permanent full- and part-time workers nationally as a direct results of strong sales at the chicken chain, a news release said.
In parent company Yum Brands first-quarter earnings results, KFC reported 14% quarterly growth in sales and same-store sales growth of 11% on a two-year basis. That success, said the chain, highlighted the need for more workers and the drive to hire on those extra employees at all levels including hourly team members (cooks, prep and customer service), shift leaders, assistant managers and restaurant general managers. ....
