The documentary series, Shipwreck Hunters is being principally produced by Screen Australian in association with Screenwest and the Western Australian Screen Fund. Shipwreck Hunters Australia screen team ADVERTISEMENT Netflix has also picked up Australian documentary series The Mosque Next Door, to be streamed on its Australian and New Zealand services. The series, produced by Sydney based Southern Pictures takes a look inside a Mosque, where viewers are introduced to the Holland Park community and its colourful personalities as they “confront Islamophobia, manage the challenges of love and family and struggle to make a place for themselves in Modern Australia,” according to a release. ....
Paramount+ begins building local team ahead of launch March 8, 2021 2:30 ViacomCBS’ Paramount+ has started to assemble a local team ahead of the streaming platform’s launch in the Australian market later this year, after last week’s roll out in the US and parts of Latin America. Chris Ledlin has been appointed senior director of streaming, leading business development and commercial partnerships in the market and reporting to the streaming platform’s senior vice president of revenue and operations, Angela Heckman, who is based in the US. Ledlin joins after three years at Nine, where he was most recently overseeing operations and partnerships for the network’s broadcast video on demand (BVOD) platform, 9Now. ....
