“Biden isn’t the next FDR,” Trump Jr. initially wrote, referring to former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. “He’s the next Jimmy Carter.”
The company made the message a trend by mid-afternoon, with a summary that said, “People are confused by a tweet from Donald Trump Jr. … given that former President Carter is a Nobel Peace Prize winner whose humanitarian record is largely respected.” ....

For all that simplistic school textbooks and political mythologists praise FDR, in actual fact his New Deal was a counterproductive failure and by 1937 the U.S. economy was back in a recession.
