(AP Photo/Adrian Kraus)AP Facebook Share The Buffalo Bills stayed true to their board in the 2021 NFL Draft. That strategy led to Buffalo getting stronger in the trenches with defensive ends Gregory Rousseau and Carlos Basham Jr. being selected in the first and second round and offensive tackles Spencer Brown and Tommy Doyle being the team’s next two selections. Buffalo rounded out their draft with a receiver/return man (Marquez Stevenson), two defensive backs (Damar Hamlin and Rachad Wildgoose) and another offensive lineman (Jack Anderson).
Nintendo Seems Interested in More Animated Adaptations ✖ It would appear that Nintendo seems interested in more animated adaptations of its many, many video game franchises. In terms of adaptations of Nintendo properties for the big and small screen, there have been relatively few, and essentially none in recent memory. The upcoming Mario movie, which is confirmed to be happening by Nintendo itself, is the first in a long while and is in the works at animation company Illumination, known for films like Despicable Me, Sing, and Minions. According to a new wide-ranging interview with Nintendo representatives, that could potentially change in the near future.
So long, 2021 NFL draft. Hello, offseason. With all seven rounds in the books, front offices for all 32 teams are surely confident that they improved their rosters over the weekend. We ll find out in a few months when teams report for training camp. For now, we re looking ahead to what s next for each team. What positions do all 32 still need to address, and what s still lingering ahead of the 2021 season? There were a few that hit on the quarterback situation what s going on in Green Bay? while others were tailored toward taking a franchise from good to great next season.
The 2021 NFL draft was held April 29 through May 1 and every Buffalo Bills draft pick has been analyzed here. After last season s virtual draft, Cleveland played host to festivities this year with a handful of potential draft picks present and socially distanced because of COVID-19. Here s a pick-by-pick look at how each player Buffalo has selected will fit. Round 1, No. 30 overall: Gregory Rousseau, DE, Miami My take: Selecting Rousseau made perfect sense considering how the board played out. Buffalo has an impending need at defensive end and wouldn t be able to get one with Rousseau s ceiling if it waited any longer. He is still learning the position but should be able to contribute as both a defensive end and interior pass-rusher. Next to 2019 first-round pick Ed Oliver, he could provide the type of pressure Buffalo often lacked last season.
0 of 8 Tony Dejak/Associated Press Most NFL draft picks make sense in one way or another. Some teams target roster needs, while other clubs take the best player available even at stronger positions. Yet a small group of front offices hit on a pick that accomplishes multiple objectives. In a review of the draft, we can spot a lot of good picks. The best selections not only address a hole in the depth chart but also potentially change a team s future outlook or an entire dynamic on one side of the ball. On Day 2, a few teams found great value in prospects who could ve gone in the first round.

(Photo by Phil Ellsworth / ESPN Images)Phil Ellsworth / ESPN Images Facebook Share The Buffalo Bills’ 2021 draft class is in the books. Bills general manager Brandon Beane proved to be a man of his word when he said the team would select the best player available round-by-round and that some long term thinking would be used on the picks. His first four picks saw him double up on edge rushers and offensive tackles.
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) â The heavy lifting for Brandon Beane is just getting started after the Buffalo Bills general manager upgraded the teamâs pass rush and bolstered its depth with eight selections in the NFL draft. Beane has until Monday to make two critical decisions in determining whether to commit some $35 million in combined salary to pick up the fifth-year options for quarterback Josh Allen and middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. Beane said Saturday heâll turn his attention to making those decisions now that the draft is over. Whatever choices he makes, increased concern about the salary cap is part of the price of success for Buffaloâs shift from pushover to contender. The Bills are coming off a season in which they won their first AFC East title since 1995 and reached the AFC championship for the first time in 27 years.

(AP Photo/David Dermer, Pool) BUFFALO (AP) Whatever Greg Rousseau lacks in experience as a pass rusher, Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane believes the University of Miami defensive end makes up for in sheer size, speed and instincts. Add in an eagerness to continue learning, and that was enough for Beane to address Buffalo’s key offseason need in selecting Rousseau with the 30th pick in the NFL draft on Thursday night.
5 thoughts and a grade on Buffalo Bills drafting Wake Forest DE Boogie Basham Updated 1:54 AM; Today 1:51 AM After Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane drafted Gregory Rousseau on Thursday night, he was asked whether adding an edge rusher was the plan going into the NFL Draft. “(We wanted) Anybody that can affect the passer, so we could have gone interior, on the edge,” he said. “Pass rusher is a premium position. After you get quarterbacks, probably the next highest position is pass rusher.” About 24 hours laters, Beane pulled the trigger on another pass rusher in the second round by taking Wake Forest defensive end Carlos “Boogie” Basham Jr. There were other options on the board. But after watching the Bills struggle to get to the quarterback last season - especially in the AFC title game - he’s not taking any chances when it comes to a repeat performance in 2021.
