Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan announced on Thursday that any Maryland resident who gets a COVID-19 vaccine is eligible to receive a lottery prize of up to $400,000.
All you have to do to enter is get your shot, Hogan said.
Every day for 40 days, starting May 25, the Maryland Lottery will give away a $40,000 prize to someone who is vaccinated as part of its VaxCash Promotion, and on July 4 the final day of the drawing one lucky resident will win $400,000.
Any Maryland resident that has been vaccinated will automatically be registered for a chance to win the promotion, and Hogan said that a total of $2 million will be given away, using funds from the lottery s marketing budget.  ....

The New Yankees and the New York Mets are set to segregate fans watching their games in person by whether or not they’ve been vaccinated against the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19). People who have not been vaccinated will be seated separately from those who have at both Yankee Stadium and the Citi Field.
“There are going to be separate sections for those who are vaccinated,” Randy Levine, president of the Yankees, stated at a May 5 briefing.
“As we sell tickets on an individual basis, they will go into one of those two areas, either unvaccinated or vaccinated because we will have some inventory in both types of location,” added Sandy Alderson, the president of the Mets. ....

But in recent years, it’s become a durably static symbol lodged outside an institution determined to transform itself on the inside, making the disconnect between the museum’s interior and exterior selves all the more notable. ....
