Brand Film Awards U.S.: Craft - MM&M - MM+M - Medical Marketing and Media

Colorful graphics, energetic animated sequences and live film are interspersed in Zendesk’s
Golden Age Karate, directed by Sindha Agha. The film recounts how Jeff Wall first began to develop his passion for karate at age 6; he’d be inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame at age 10. However, it is his decision to teach karate to senior citizens that makes Wall’s story compelling and connects his biography to Zendesk.
Wall first takes his karate skills to a nursing home after spending many weekends with his grandmother. Imagining that other seniors may be longing social and physical outlets just as she was, Wall soon discovers through his senior students that one is never too old to kick butt. The film was produced for $125,000 and is part of a Zendesk series on “Stories about helpful people,” fitting for a company that is encouraging its employees and customers to reimagine consumer support and what it looks like.  ....

In an interview on the
Steve Gruber Show podcast, Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier said, “Since taking command as a commander about 10 months ago, I saw what I consider fundamentally incompatible and competing narratives of what America was, is, and should be that wasn t just prolific on social media or spreading throughout the country during this past year, but it was spreading throughout the United States military, and I had recognized those narratives as being Marxist in nature.” ....

Should colleges require students to get vaccinated before the fall term?

Ryan Caron King :: Connecticut Public Radio/NENC
Quinnipiac University in Hamden emptied after spring break last year. Many Connecticut colleges and universities are weighing whether to require that students be vaccinated for COVID-19 before returning for the fall 2021 term.
Until Tuesday morning, the key question facing college administrators in Connecticut about the COVID-19 vaccine was whether they should require students to get immunized before returning to campus in the fall.
Then, after the Centers for Disease Control and the Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday announced a “pause” on the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine because of concerns over the potential for blood clots, administrators’ attention for the moment turned to the question of how to vaccinate people on campus now. ....
