Elizabeth’s family included 3 brothers and 3 sisters, and they lived in Knickerbocker, Texas. When Elizabeth lost both parents as a child, her older sister, Mildred, helped continue her upbringing. Moving into San Angelo for school, Elizabeth graduated from San Angelo High School and continued with a college education in Business. In May of 1944, Elizabeth married Maj. Frank T. Moore, a bombardier in the Army Air Corp. Sadly in 1947, Frank was killed while on a military training mission when a bomb exploded under the plane.
