NEW YORK (AP) — “The Lehman Trilogy” was able to make only four preview performances on Broadway before the pandemic shut its doors. Now it plans to return to tell the story of an American financial giant's downfall with a new cast member.

ADVERTISEMENT The show is about counter-terrorism policing and the work done by the Metropolitan Police Bomb Disposal Squad. It was penned by screenwriting newcomer Daniel Brierley and produced by Jed Mercurio's HTM Television. "I'm really looking forward to partnering with Vicky on this great new series. Jed Mercurio's material is always great. This series is ambitious and challenging, which is why it's exciting to be a part of the team," Lester said in a statement Thursday.

The theater, TV and film producer previously announced that he was âstepping backâ from his various projects, but what exactly that means has remained largely an unanswered question. Also unclear: whether the loss of a producer title means that Rudin no longer has a financial stake in the âTo Kill a Mockingbirdâ national tour, which is set to kick off in 2022.
