Perspective: The Impossible May Take A While

Rick Brooks' Perspective -- March 10, 2021
I woke up at 1:15 in the morning and reached for something boring to read so I could go back to sleep. It was a mistake.
The book I found was
The Impossible Will Take a Little While, edited by Paul Rogat Loeb.  Its subtitle was
Perseverance and Hope in Troubled Times.  And it was perfect…and imperfect.
Perfect because it had 52 short essays by people I have admired for years. Brilliant thinkers and writers like Alice Walker, Desmond Tutu, Diane Ackerman, Vaclav Havel and John Lewis. Arundhati Roy, and Bill McKibben.  One of the best pieces was by Parker Palmer, a former sociology professor at Beloit College.

Andrew Logan Museum in Berriew plans to re-open in May

Andrew Logan.
THE Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture in Berriew is planning to re-open on Saturday, May 1.
The museum team will be posting updates and collection information on its social media channels and planning for the forthcoming Pearl Anniversary season, celebrating 30 years of museum visitors.
Andrew would usually be in India at this time of year, escaping the British winter, conducting workshops and finding inspiration within his spiritual home.
It is unusual for Andrew to be in Berriew for such an extended period of time, however, it has resulted in more time to create and what wonderful pieces are emerging. Andrew has completed many exciting pieces; including several new mirror portraits, paintings, jewellery and sculptures.
