ATLANTA, April 15, 2021 /PRNewswire/  A political activist who is known internationally for her ongoing work to combat all forms of oppression in the U.S. and abroad and the first African woman writer to have a play on Broadway, will address graduates during Spelman College s commencement celebrations for the classes of 2020 and 2021 in separate, in-person ceremonies on May 16, 2021.

New Bipartisan Sinema Bill Expands Opportunities at Tribal Colleges

Arizona senior Senator Kyrsten Sinema introduced the bipartisan IMPACT
 Act with Republican Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi. The senators’ legislation creates the Telecommunications Workforce Training Grant Program, allowing tribal colleges and universities (TCUs) to partner with industry stakeholders and apply for grants to educate and train students to participate in good-paying telecommunications jobs of the future. 
“We’re expanding opportunities for students from tribal communities to succeed in the jobs of the future while helping bridge the digital divide across Arizona,” says Sinema, a member of the Senate Commerce Committee. ....
