A U.N. panel has identified at least 13 North Korean missile experts suspected of traveling to Iran to support the country’s weapons program, according to a report published last week. The panel also said it received information from U.N. members that the two countries have exchanged critical parts for long-range missile programs as recently as 2020.
The technicians from the DPRK’s Korea Mining and Development Trading Corporation (KOMID) are suspected of assisting the Shahid Hemmat Industrial Group (SHIG), a branch of Iran’s Aerospace Industries Organization (AIO), the panel wrote in its report. In addition ....

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States on Friday imposed sanctions on companies in Iran, China and the United Arab Emirates for doing business with the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines and on three Iranian entities over conventional arms proliferation.
They are the latest in a series of measures aimed at stepping up pressure on Tehran in the waning days of President Donald Trump’s administration, which ends on Wednesday.
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Washington had sanctioned seven companies, including Chinese-based Jiangyin Mascot Special Steel Co and UAE-based Accenture Building Materials, and two people for shipping steel to or from Iran. ....
