OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - Less than a week after city crews dumped large rocks along a stretch of South Oceanside Boulevard to prevent the homeless from setting up tents, two men were seen on video trying to remove the rocks.
The owners of Natty Bella Bridal shot the video over the weekend.
They say the illegal homeless encampment has been driving customers away; at a time when their business is already struggling due to the pandemic.

LOS ANGELES When San Diego stopped issuing strip club licenses and a local club went up for sale, a church bought it to create a shelter for human trafficking survivors.
When the pandemic bankrupted a family favorite roller rink that had been in Los Angeles for more than 40 years, a project to turn it into bridge housing for the homeless got underway.

Dr. Drew Pinsky has been nominated to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, thanks to his vocal warnings that the crisis is primarily a problem of mental illness and drug addiction, not housing. But his nomination is proving controversial.

Dr. David Drew Pinsky, more commonly known as “Dr. Drew,” was recommended by 5th District Supervisor Kathryn Barger, the only Republican on the five-member board, to Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, a 10-member commission appointed by city and county elected officials.
Barger said she nominated Pinsky because he’ll bring a “fresh perspective” to the commission because of his vast medical experience and passion for mental health. ....
