Suspect charged with killing 8 in Atlanta-area shootings that targeted Asian-run spas Tim Craig, Sarah Pulliam Bailey, Paulina Firozi and Griff Witte, The Washington Post March 17, 2021 FacebookTwitterEmail ACWORTH, Ga. - Police on Wednesday charged a 21-year-old man with murder, a day after eight people were shot dead at three Asian spas in and around Atlanta in a killing spree that sharply amplified fears among Asian Americans over a nationwide surge in hate crimes and bigoted rhetoric. Long indicated he may have frequented the spas in the past, police said, and that they were "a temptation for him that he wanted to eliminate."
The Museum at Bethel Woods Opening With a Mind-Blowing Exhibit Whenever we are entertaining people who are not from our area, one of our favorite places to take them is the Museum at Bethel Woods. The history of the venue and the vibe of the museum make it the perfect place for music lovers of all generations. We older people can reminisce and the youngsters can learn. After all, we are talking about the site of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair. The Museum will be opening its doors for the season on Saturday, April 3, and they’ve got a very cool exhibit planned to kick off the season. The exhibit is called Lights, Color, Fashion: Psychedelic Posters and Patterns of 1960s San Francisco. Complete with black lights and a light show, just like in the 60s. Think Grateful Dead, Haight-Ashbury, Jefferson Airplane. You know, the good old days.

Visit Woodstock’s Rich Musical History with a Cool Rock Tour Long before there was a music festival in Sullivan County called Woodstock, there was the Town of Woodstock. They are not very close to each other, but they are related. The music festival was originally supposed to be held in Saugerties, which is just down the road from Woodstock. The idea came from people from Woodstock. Woodstock the Town has a long art and musical history. Many famous musicians have called Woodstock home over the years including Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, The Band, Van Morrison, Todd Rundgren, and the list goes on and on. And many of our favorite albums were recorded in the Town of Woodstock at Bearsville Studios. This month, you can dive into this history with a great new tour.
