An iconic segment of the California hot rod culture is on display in a museum, but it’s a museum halfway across the country. The
Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed is located in Lincoln, Nebraska, but is showcasing the famed little black Model T hot rod built by a youngster named Ed Iskenderian, who soon would become famous for creating high-performance camshafts. “Isky” anticipates celebrating his 100th birthday on July 10.
If the Nebraska location for the famous hot rod seems strange, consider that the car is displayed with Ed Winfield’s cam grinder that Isky used as well as with the only other pair of Maxi cylinder heads known to exist. The car is owned by Isky and is in Nebraska on a long-term loan. ....

What s Happening With the Hot Rod Power Tour?
Many of you have been asking about the status of the 2021 HOT ROD Power Tour. We will have an announcement in a few weeks right here on hotrod.com.
The success and the history of this event is pretty amazing. When the HOT ROD Power Tour was first conceived in late 1994, there was no way the magazine writers could have imagined that the event that started as a what-if idea pitched at a staff meeting would evolve into the world s largest show on the road. Approximately 200 ambitious participants showed up to for the event in the summer of 95. The Power Tour s only objective that first year was to get those cars from Los Angeles to the HOT ROD Power Festival in Norwalk, Ohio. Now, more than a quarter-century later, the HOT ROD Power Tour has become an (almost) annua ....
