Swindon’s Bus Company managing director Andrew Wickham is excited about the new app and how has told how it differs from previous iterations. He said: “Apps are not a new thing. We were one of the first operators to introduce one several years ago. But this is very different – a much improved concept in bus travel and ticketing. “The technology we’ve harnessed is so powerful that those travelling with us can completely personalise their app. That means they can save their regular journeys, choose how their home screen opens, mark bus stops or routes as their favourites, track exactly where their bus is at any given time and, of course, buy their tickets instantly.” ....

A mother has claimed she was kicked off a bus because she refused to stop breastfeeding her baby. Holly Chapman, 28, of Swindon, had started to nurse crying 19-week-old daughter Raiya when the driver approached and told her she couldn t do it on board. The mother-of-two left the bus embarrassed and was forced to continue feeding her daughter by the side of the road while waiting for another bus. Holly, who is also breastfeeding daughter Gracie, three, received an apology from operator Swindon Bus Company but said she wanted to raise awareness to help other mothers who might find themselves facing a similar position. ....
