Close In observance of Missouriâs bicentennial on Aug. 10, the Louisiana Area Historical Museum is opening an exhibit of flags that have flown over the state from the 1700s to today. Pictured is museum board member Stephen Moss unfurling a banner used at the time of the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery expedition. Nine flags and a Native American display will be featured in the museumâs Stark Brothers Nurseries room, which has a high ceiling. Plaques underneath will offer details about each ensign. The first chance people will have to see the exhibit is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 7. The museum is at 304 Georgia Street and there is no admission charge. ....

Presiding over the inauguration on March 24 was Jenni Bonura, President and CEO of Harry Norman, Realtors. The ceremony took place at the President’s Inaugural Gala at the Jekyll Island Convention Center. The Gala was part of the 2021 GAR Inaugural Conference. Dorrie is a 1991 graduate of the University of Georgia, earning a BA in Journalism with a minor in Political Science. She obtained her real estate license in 1996, and joined the Fayette County Board of Realtors (FCBOR) shortly thereafter. In 2002, Dorrie joined Harry Norman, Realtors, where she remains today, and has been the top producing agent in her office for the last several years. ....
