“我当时根本没想过他身上是否有凶器，也没工夫去想。”当时，姜老师机智地撑起手里的老式雨伞，逼住了该男子。“你干什么骚扰人家女孩子？这是人干的事吗？”虽然没有发生肢体冲撞，姜老师一连串的质问吓得中年男子不敢吭声。
“当时我就觉得特别气愤，这是我人生中第一次这么近地面对坏人，阻止违法行为。以前我坐公交车时见到小偷也会呵斥并提醒乘客，但这次不同，我直接抓住了他。”姜老师说，为了震慑住对方的嚣张气焰，他一定要在气势上压住对方。
这时，一名与姜老师年龄相仿的“70后”路人经过此地，了解事情后，与姜老师一前一后将中年男子堵在中间。男子一直四处偷瞄，姜老师担心男子逃跑，急忙报警，并牢牢守住男子。十几分钟后，民警赶到并将中年男子带回派出所。记者从警方了解到，该男子已被依法行政处罚。
平日的他性格温和，乐于助人
事发后，除了家人，姜老师并没有把这件事告诉任何人，学校也是在民警来了解情况时才得知此事，对姜老师见义勇为的行为大加赞赏。“得知这件事后，我们都很意外，姜老师平时性格特别温和。”哈尔滨工程大学的刘同学告诉记者，姜老师平时负责实验室的平台测试和服务器管理，虽然不直接带学生，但是哪位学生有软硬件出现问题，都喜欢找姜老师帮忙。“他总是特别耐心，还会开导我们，总告诉我们‘没事，放心’。有一次我的实验进行不下去很苦恼，姜老师就鼓励我，‘最难的时候就是离成功最近的时候，要挺住，再想想别的方法’。实验室因为有姜老师的存在，我的心里总感觉很暖。”刘同学说。
在同事眼中，姜晓刚是个老好人，同事遇到问题，第一个想到的人也是姜晓刚。哈尔滨工程大学的史长亭老师说，“有一次晚上下班我的车打不着火了，已经到家的姜老师开车回来，用他的车给我打火。冬天下雪，他家那片的雪都是姜老师清的，路上遇到谁的车打滑，他一定会下车帮忙推车。所以听说他见义勇为，我并不意外，他就是一位乐于助人又十分正义的人。”
记者了解到，姜老师的女儿正在上初三，当女儿得知爸爸勇斗坏人的事迹后，说了一句很有哲理的话：”见义勇为不一定非得流血牺牲，平凡人也能当英雄，爸爸就是我心目中的大英雄！“
“其实谁见了都会出手相助，我只是做了一件不让自己后悔的事情。”姜老师说，希望这件事能给那个女孩带来慰藉，女孩子独自在外也不要害怕，要相信一定会有人出手相助，即便是素不相识的人。

　　1 日 15 时许，哈尔滨工程大学的姜老师外出办事，乘坐地铁 1 号线下车后正准备赶回学校。当他走出工程大学地铁口时，看见前方有一男一女两个背影，动作有些异常。其中的中年男子正在强行搂抱年轻女孩，女孩则不停地躲闪，手里拎着的包和购物袋都扔在了地上。“ 起初，我还以为是恋爱中的情侣在闹别扭，可那男子发现我走近，突然松开女孩躲到了一边，女孩则蹲在地上埋头哭了起来。我感觉不对劲。” 姜老师说。
　　姜老师随即上前询问女孩：“ 你认识他吗？” 女孩哭着回答 “ 我不认识 ”，该中年男子见状拔腿就跑。姜老师立即追了上去，“ 别跑，你给我站住！” 姜老师从地铁口朝道外太平桥方向狂追了几十米远，一边跑一边大声喊。
　　当时正在下雨，路上没有什么行人，逃跑的中年男子体力逐渐不支，一看身后只有一个人在追，索性停下不跑了。姜老师从后面一把拽住男子的衣服，对方转身想 “ 对付 ” 姜老师。
　　“ 他的个头比我高一点儿，但比较瘦，我平时都坚持健身，体型和体力上不输他 ”，姜老师说自己还是学院系里篮球队的，平时打球训练流的汗没有白流，这回派上用场了。“ 我当时根本没想过他身上是否有凶器，也没工夫去想 ”，姜老师机智地撑起手里的老式雨伞，逼住了该男子。
