Robert Friendship Smith has been arrested 59 times and racked up 25 criminal convictions since 2007. His widespread and frequent offending has included assault, criminal damage, breach of criminal behaviour order, arson and theft, with the majority of his offences committed in the north of the city. The 23-year-old was recently released from prison on Christmas Eve last year and the terms of his licence instructed him to stay at specified premises outside of the area.
