Tom Telesco has fired two coaches.
Don’t expect he’ll get a chance at three.
Though he struck gold when he drafted quarterback Justin Herbert and seems tight with the Spanoses, the best he has done is win a wild-card game every four years.
“I need to do a better job getting this team over the hump,” the longtime Chargers general manager said Wednesday, two days after he fired his second head coach in four years.
Having parted from Mike McCoy and Anthony Lynn, it’s not lost on Telesco that he could be sitting on the eject seat.
